Abhyanga

Abhyanga

A traditional Ayurvedic massage using warm, dosha-specific herbal oils. The body is generously covered in oil and massaged with smooth, gentle strokes to restore balance among the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—while deeply nourishing and calming the system.

Marma Point Balancing

This is a subtle, energy balancing treatment that works on special energy points, called marmas, on the body.  It is meant to balance and awaken consciousness and natural flow of the “life force”. Developed in India centuries ago, these energy points affect the body, mind, and spirit to allow the deepest levels of healing.  Marma massage is used as a part of rejuvenation therapy and as a preventative measure from unwanted conditions.  Marma is a very good way to help improve or maintain an individual’s health.

Deep Tissue Massage

Focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue.  Some of the same strokes are used as in Swedish massage, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and the fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

The term “Swedish Massage” refers to a variety of techniques designed to relax muscles.  It provides relief from stiffness, numbness, pain and other health problems.  The main purpose is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Reiki

Reiki

Reiki is a very specific form of energy healing, in which hands are placed just off the body or lightly touching the body. The practitioner is seeking to transmit Universal Light Energy to the client. The intention is to create deep relaxation, to expedite healing, reduce pain, and decrease other symptoms you might be experiencing.

Cranial Sacral Therapy

A therapeutic modality that addresses imbalances in the cranial sacral system. This is a very light touch that addresses the fluids that surround the brain and spinal cord. There are tools available to help the therapist in cranial sacral work.  A system of light touch, listening to evaluate & invite the body to change and heal itself.

Reflexology

Reflexology

Using a series of finger pressure, kneading, and friction on the soles of the feet, the palm of the hands and/or ear lobes. These areas provide a roadmap of the body and all of its organs and systems. A skilled reflexologist can open blocked pathways and ease the pain with the release of these areas.
