Commitment: Attend every session and begin a daily meditation practice, even if it’s for just 10 minutes. You can do this!!
Alida will be using a text called The Relaxed Mindby one of her favorite teachers, Dza Kilung Rinpoche. You can find the text online, and it’s helpful to have it, but not necessary.

The first class begins with our posture – aligning body and mind into a relaxed yet upright and dignified posture. Then, step by step, week by week, we will explore the nature of thoughts and develop the awareness to manage that squirrelly mind!

Having the support of a group is essential to beginning a new habit, as is regular practice. We are limiting it to 10 people so that you have individual guidance and support, yet some good company on this new adventure.

Blueberries have a good source of fiber (approximately 14% of daily fiber) and are low in calories. Among all fruits and vegetables, blueberries have the highest antioxidant capacity. Blueberries contain flavonoids and phytochemicals that possess antioxidant properties.

Summer Colors

Cooling colors for summer…

Summer is the season of fire, and there is an increased tendency for arguments, yelling, and getting angry. It is better not to discuss any serious topics during the hot hours of the day, or during very hot days. If you need to make important decisions, do it in the morning or evening when it’s cool.

Dress in cotton (or silk) clothes, and as much as possible avoid colors like red, orange, yellow, and black. Gentle and mild colors help one to stay cool, especially blue, white, green, and purple. After dressing, you can do your worship or meditation practice if it is part of your routine.
